Familienzentrum (Family Center) Georgstrasse

The Familienzentrum Georgstraße offers several services for families:

• Read out sessions: As language training for parents and children. With children’s books (in German and other languages) the language development of children and parents are supported.
• Cooking and baking: You will cook and bake together and get to meet new people. This way you can also improve you German. There will be different food from different cultures.
• Start of nursery/daycare: The goal of this service is to prepare the child for the integration in daycare or school. The families will be visited once a week for an hour by an employee. They will try different games and plays according to the child’s age. This way the child can become familiar with the German language early on.
• Consultation and support for parents: The central goal of this service is build a supporting network
• Handcrafting and sewing: You will handcraft and sew together and get to meet new people. This way you can also improve your German.
