The Social Psychiatric Service brings together medical professionals and social workers to provide, among other things, the following services:
Information about mental health conditions and addiction disorders
Confidential counselling
Referral to individual support services and assistance
Support in crisis situations (if there is a risk of harm to oneself or others)
Individual support planning and referral to additional services (for example: assisted living)
Social Psychiatric Service of the Public Health Department
