Posting letters is especially important when you need to stay in contact with the authorities, office and departments.
To send a letter, you have to put the letter with the recipient’s address, the sender’s address and a stamp in a yellow mailbox. There they will be collected daily and sent on to the recipient. Make sure that your letter has sufficient postage. In other words, make sure that the stamp has the correct value. You can buy stamps, for example, at Deutsche Post or online.
Alternatively, you can bring letters or packages to a post office such as Deutschen Post, DHL Shop, Hermes Versand. There, you can directly pay for the postage and mail out your letter or parcels, or you can by stamps for mail.
You can use a mobile phone with a prepaid-card which can be topped up with money according to your needs. You can buy and top up prepaid cards in drugstores, supermarkets, internet cafés, gas stations and mobile phone shops.
Bremerhaven Center has a relatively strong WLAN-Network. Often, your mobile phone will conntect automatically to available free networks in your surroundings. Many restaurants, cafés and shops offer free internet access for their customers.
